Job Scope


Engineering Design and Development:

  • Define and establish the basis of design, estimation criteria, and design philosophies to guide detailed electrical engineering efforts.
  • Conduct system studies and value engineering to develop cost-effective designs that meet client requirements.
  • Prepare critical engineering documents such as Single Line Diagrams, Substation Layouts, and system diagrams for Fire Alarm and Communication Systems in compliance with client specifications.


Specifications and Technical Support:

  • Develop specifications, data sheets, requisitions, and technical evaluations for major electrical equipment.
  • Review vendor submissions to ensure alignment with project requirements and applicable standards.
  • Participate in technical proposal preparation and estimation activities for new project bids.


Project Management and Coordination:

  • Act as the Key Person (KP) for medium to large-scale projects exceeding 5,000 manhours, overseeing schedules, budgets, and quality metrics.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of project requirements.
  • Lead site-based activities, including construction support, QA/QC responsibilities, and field engineering.


Mentorship and Training:

  • Contribute to the department’s training programs as a mentor or trainer, fostering skill development within the team.


Site and Factory Engagement:

  • Conduct site surveys and investigations to assess design feasibility for existing facilities.
  • Participate in factory acceptance tests to ensure electrical equipment meets agreed specifications.


Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide home office support for field operations, including expediting vendor deliveries and resolving technical conflicts during project execution.


Preferred Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as ETAP and e-DPP, along with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local and international electrical codes and standards.
  • Strong experience in designing electrical systems for oil, gas, and industrial facilities.
  • Expertise in substation energization and related work.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 15 years of experience in electrical engineering for oil, gas, and petrochemical plants, including:
  • At least 5 years in frontend engineering and estimation.
  • 5 or more years in field engineering.
