Job Description

A Research Assistant is needed to provide technical, research, and administrative support for ongoing projects in our flexible electronics laboratory.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct experiments under the general guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI) and senior researchers; monitor, document, and report experimental results and research findings.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze data; assist in preparing reports and research summaries.
  • Contribute to the preparation of scientific manuscripts and other publications.
  • Support project management activities and provide guidance to master and undergraduate students.
  • Coordinate with vendors for the operation, maintenance, and servicing of laboratory equipment and facilities.
  • Assist with the procurement of consumables and new equipment, working with the department, CPO, and Finance teams on purchasing and payment processes.
  • Work closely with the PI and lab members on research-related tasks, assisting in the smooth functioning of the laboratory and research group.
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the PI.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in a research or laboratory setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency in laboratory safety protocols and adherence to best practices in a research environment.
  • Willingness to work on a fixed-term contract.
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a research or team-based setting.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
