Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Architect with extensive experience in designing and implementing data solutions leveraging Snowflake technology. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data warehousing, ETL processes, and modern data engineering practices to support large-scale, data-intensive environments.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop, design, and implement robust solutions on the Snowflake Data Cloud platform.
- Architect and optimize data pipelines, orchestration, data governance, and analytics frameworks.
- Lead the strategic analysis and quality assessment of data, implementing data quality rules and checks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with architectural best practices.
- Work with semi-structured data and build solutions leveraging Snowflake's advanced features, including Snowflake Functions.
- Integrate streaming services (e.g., Kafka) and scripting languages like Python or Scala for advanced data processing.
- Provide technical leadership in data modeling and ETL concepts, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Drive cloud-based data ecosystem initiatives and maintain knowledge of emerging technologies.
- Perform work estimations, identify risks, and contribute to project planning and resource allocation.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: 10+ years in IT, with 8+ years in data-focused roles and 2+ years of hands-on Snowflake expertise.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Strong knowledge of Snowflake Data Warehousing and its architectural components.
- Expertise in SQL programming, Python, or Scala.
- Familiarity with ETL concepts, data modeling, and orchestration.
- Knowledge of streaming services (Kafka) and handling semi-structured data.
- Data Engineering: Proven ability to implement large-scale, data intelligence solutions and engineering platform components.
- Experience with Unix shell scripting.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or BOBJ.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
