Job Summary:
The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the replacement of carpets, galley mats, and lavatory mats on aircraft. This role involves ensuring quality service delivery, maintaining adherence to safety and compliance standards, and managing the performance of the assigned team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership
· Plan, organize, and oversee the execution of carpet, galley, and lavatory mat replacement tasks in alignment with maintenance schedules.
· Supervise the team to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and meet airline quality standards.
· Conduct pre- and post-service inspections to ensure replacements are correctly installed and meet safety regulations.
Team Management
· Assign tasks to team members based on individual skills and project needs.
· Provide on-site guidance, support, and training to team members to improve their technical skills and adherence to procedures.
· Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance service delivery.
· Safety and Compliance with aviation standard.
· Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and aviation regulations.
· Maintain proper handling and disposal of removed materials, adhering to environmental standards.
· Verify the use of appropriate tools and equipment for mat and carpet replacement tasks.
· Coordination and Reporting
· Collaborate with maintenance planners and airline representatives to align services with operational requirements.
· Report progress, challenges, and service completions to supervisors or managers.
· Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including timesheets and quality control reports.
· Ensure sufficient availability of replacement materials and tools.
Educational Requirements
· Diploma or relevant certification in aircraft maintenance, operations, or a related field.
· Minimum 2–3 years of experience in aircraft cabin maintenance or related services.
· Prior experience in a supervisory or team leader role is preferred.
· Skills and Abilities
· Strong technical knowledge of carpet and mat replacement procedures.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
· Proficiency in reporting and documentation tools.
· Certifications
· Relevant aviation safety or maintenance certifications are an advantage.
Work Environment:
· Work in hangars, on aircraft, and occasionally outdoors in varying conditions.
· Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
