Specific
Patient Care/Relations
i. Assist in the coordination and movement of ambulant and non-ambulant patients requiring radiological services within WH.
ii. Provide basic pre and post-examination care to patients, such as changing attire, oral contrast preparation, and post-procedural instructions.
iii. Demonstrate good interpersonal skills with patients and staff.
iv. Handle general enquiries from patients pertaining to radiology examinations and defer to radiographers when necessary.
v. Guide patients in pre-examination procedures while also overseeing the proper functioning of x-ray accessories and related supplies.
Operational
i. Prepare the imaging room, equipment, and consumables for procedures.
ii. Maintain inventory and supply of linen in storage areas and changing rooms, and consumables within examination rooms.
iii. Collaborate with MMD and vendors for supply delivery, and verify inventory levels regularly.
iv. Assist in the movement and transport of imaging equipment, phantoms, and documentation containing sensitive patient information.
v. Assist radiographer in patient transferring, using proper posture and techniques.
vi. Operate IT Systems (EPIC/RIS/eQMS) for scheduling, registration, starting exams, queue numbers, activation of portering requests, and other relevant tasks.
vii. Assist with the handling and storage of request forms and films during downtime protocols.
viii. Perform routine cleaning of imaging equipment and assist with quality control and basic handling of equipment.
ix. Maintain overall cleanliness and tidiness of the work environment, examination room, waiting areas, and imaging accessories used during examinations.
x. Perform shift and night duties in relevant settings as required to maintain a 24-hour service.
General
i. Perform other general duties as directed by the Supervisor or Lead Radiographer on duty
ii. Lead efforts to maintain high standards of patient care, operational efficiency, and quality assurance.
iii. Lead on-the-job training for new radiography assistants, specifically focusing on equipment usage and safety protocols.
iv. Assist with operating matters as assigned by the Supervisor, including equipment management and department workflow.
v. Serve as the main point of contact for escalations related to imaging workflows, patient concerns, and equipment issues.
vi. Assist in performance evaluations for junior radiography assistants, providing input to the Principal Radiographer or department head.
Education / Training / Experience
i. Diploma OR GCE “N/O/A/NITEC/ITE” Levels OR BTEC III OR equivalent
ii. 5 years of relevant experience in Radiology Departments
iii. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
iv. Able to perform rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays

Attributes
i. Skilled in relevant Radiology IT systems such as RIS/PACS, SAP, EPIC will be an advantage.
ii. Skilled in Microsoft Office programmes such as Word and Excel.
