FinOps Accountant

Sparrow Operations Private Limited

Summary:

Responsible for operational accounting related work and maintain the accounting schedules to ensure timeliness, completeness and accuracy of the schedules.

Supports the firm’s middle office operations in duties include but not limit to: financial assessments, perform trade confirmations, trade execution, and trade settlement


Involved in all aspects of accounting and overseas the day to day activities of the accounting team. He/She has sound technical skills with in-depth knowledge and abilities to ensure quality and accuracy of work for reporting purposes.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for bank account management for the group, especially to ensure proper booking of client monies and safeguarding of client monies
  • Processing and verification of all trades for the day processed in the system
  • Responsible for entity accounting, which includes accounting processes and tasks (i.e.: Payment and billing processing, GL, account reconciliation, ensure timely payments etc.)
  • Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT/CIT/…), audits, procedures, government surveys and forms, both statutory and internal
  • Keep records for Sales and Trading Commissions for quarterly reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
  • Any ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or relevant discipline
  • CPA / ACCA or its equivalents
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (GAAP)
  • Fresh graduates are welcome
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Can-do attitude, resourceful, hands-on and meticulous. A team player who, must be able to work with people within and outside of the finance department.
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development.
