The Role
As the Strategic M&A Specialist / Analyst , you will be the driving force behind the corporate growth initiatives of our client. You will analyse market trends, lead the development of their organic and M&A strategies, and manage the entire M&A process — from target identification to deal closure and integration. Your leadership will ensure seamless transitions and successful integrations that align with our business objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Work with senior leadership at the corporate, business unit, and functional level to drive strategic investments, business, and corporate development in respect of the Linnovate Partners core businesses in Asia, and other key regions.
- Identify and develop business prospects/opportunities to grow investments and network in the region and contribute to the Group’s long-term profit growth.
- Develop joint-ventures, partnerships and other related opportunities which includes formulating and negotiating terms with prospective partners and preparing bid submissions.
- Build a reference base of business prospects and gather market intelligence.
- Review/prepare presentations/memorandums/submissions/reports concerning potential projects, transactions, and initiatives for senior management and/or the Board.
- Support and drive such other strategic projects as may be identified from time to time by management, including but not limited to post-investment assessment and strategic optimization and reorganization initiatives. Support the due diligence process, including assisting with framing due diligence objectives, supporting due diligence teams, and coordinating the reporting of due diligence findings to senior leadership for a target entity
- Work with key stakeholders to translate deal strategy into integration success, focus on identifying sources of transaction value and developing measurable key success factors to track integration achievement, and lead project management activities across the mergers and acquisitions (M&A) life cycle, including schedule and scope development, issue and risk management, and strategic planning and analysis.
- More generally, to plan, develop and execute M&A transactions which will include undertaking feasibility studies, financial modelling, deal structuring and negotiations as well as managing transaction documentation.
- Develop and implement corporate-wide growth strategies.
- Lead the entire M&A process, from target identification to deal closure.
- Collaborate with different Business Unit heads to align organic growth strategies.
Qualifications :
- Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting/Business Studies/Finance/Banking or equivalent.
- CFA/CPA (or equivalent) would strengthen the application but is not required.
- Experience: 6-8 years of solid M&A or strategic investment experience
- Preferably with some overseas work exposure to emerging markets (e.g. China, SEA, India etc)
- Ability to work with cross-functional business teams to identify fundamental business drivers and risks to those drivers, and translate them into actionable plans.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with diverse groups and senior-level management
- Be very detail oriented and enjoy working in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-oriented environment.
- Education: University degree in Engineering or Finance, with an MBA preferred.
- Skills: Strong financial analysis, market research, and strategic planning abilities. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are a must.
