Responsibilities:
1. Appian Development and Design:
- Design, develop, and configure Appian applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and specifications.
- Develop process models, interfaces, records, and integration components.
- Leverage Appian SAIL (Self-Assembling Interface Layer) to create user-friendly and efficient interfaces.
- Design and develop database objects to support BPM applications
2. Requirement Analysis:
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
- Translate business needs into technical solutions within the Appian environment.
3. Integration and API Development:
- Develop and integrate APIs, web services, and connectors with third-party systems.
- Configure integration points with external databases, systems, or services.
4. Testing and Debugging:
- Conduct unit testing and end-to-end testing to ensure application functionality and performance.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues to maintain the stability of deployed applications.
5. Documentation:
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, and application guidelines.
- Create user guides and training materials for end-users and stakeholders.
6. Continuous Improvement:
- Optimize and enhance existing Appian applications to improve performance and user experience.
- Stay updated with Appian platform upgrades, best practices, and emerging trends.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 to 7 years of total experience and 3+ years of relevant experience in Appian Design, Development and Implementation, with recent hands-on implementation experience with Appian BPM (Business Process Management) and SAIL.
- Demonstrated track record in the development of Appian-based applications and products using TDD frameworks, and Agile/Scrum methodologies in On-Premises/AWS/Azure Cloud Environments and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of Appian components: Process Models, CDT, Sites, Tempo, Reports, Records, Interfaces and Site design. Excellent hands-on experience in coding and trouble shooting.
- Familiar with Appian plug-ins including rules engines.
- Experience with integration tools, APIs, and web services (REST, SOAP). Experience of API integration design and development, including Appian connectors.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
- Appian Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3 certifications (preferred but not mandatory).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
