Job Description
As a School Laboratory Technician, the personnel will help facilitate the delivery of Science curriculum by supporting teachers in their lessons and assisting in the smooth running of the Science laboratories in our school. This includes preparing, setting up and clearing up of experimental set-ups and materials at the end of the lessons. The personnel will also be assisting in other science related duties.
• Manage two laboratories and ensure that the equipment, tools and other materials are adequately stocked and kept in working condition.
• Carry out termly stock take
• Liaise with teachers to prepare, set up and clear up the experiments and practical demonstrations
• Assist in preparing resources for other Science related matters e.g. Science competition and eco-guardian activities
• Assist in germinating the seeds for the school’s hydroponics system
• Watering of plants on the racks near the Science laboratory
• Feeding of fish at the eco-pond and at the greenhouse at level 4
Job Requirement
•Minimum Primary School qualifications
• Meticulous with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work independently and troubleshoot problems
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience and familiar with safety requirements in science laboratories at Primary Schools
