Job Description
- Review engineering standards/specifications/drawings, tender, quotations and proposal documents.
- Preliminary and detailed process & mechanical design of chemical plant, incineration plant, food waste plant, water/wastewater plant, offsites & utilities, pollution abatement, etc. including mechanical specification, design calculation, equipment layout design, support design, etc.
- Collaborate with BIM team for 3D model development and ensure the model is according to design.
- Coordination of internal and external engineering activities and the interdisciplinary interfaces to ensure that the project objectives and needs are achieved and exceeded.
- Prepare mechanical equipment requisitions and to ensure that the items procured are in accordance with specifications and schedule to ensure timely delivery.
- Technical review of mechanical equipment/system vendors proposal and submission.
- Coordination with equipment/system vendors on mechanical design and installation work during project execution stage.
- Prepare mechanical technical submissions and work with design lead to liaise with stakeholders, not limited to client/project consultant for submission approval.
- Prepare method statement for all the equipment installation
- Support during construction, installation, start-up, testing and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance & perform any other duties as requested by design lead/ engineering management.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 3 years and above in process & mechanical design in process plant (such as chemical plant, incineration plant, food waste, water/wastewater plant, offsites & utilities, ACMV, pollution abatement, etc) and hands on experience working in fast paced, diverse and multi-disciplined projects and O&M activities.
- Familiar with process & mechanical design code of practice and standards in Singapore, EN, ASME & PED.
- Experience with Revit/AutoCAD Plant 3D preferred & in other related design software/applications.
- Familiar with Microsoft Office software.
- Excellent coordination skills and communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Willingness to take on responsibility and work overtime to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work with a diverse team.
- Ability to multi-task and be flexible/adapt to rapidly changing project requirements/timelines.
- Ability to uphold the use of standards and escalate issues in a timely fashion.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
- Willing to work at Tuas south area
