Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To provide support, guidance, knowledge and skills to enhance parents’ capacity in child development through regular home visits.
  • To motivate, assess and enhance parents’ ability to practise and apply the knowledge and skills in child development.
  • To create and faciliate learning opportunities for parents in the areas of parent-child interaction, development-centred parenting and family well-being.
  • To provide information and knowledge on medical, dental, mental health services, early childhood development, developmental issues, with support from a multi-disciplinary team comprising paediatricians and nurses, allied health professionals, early childhood and social work consultants.
  • To collaborate with community and social service agencies such as FSCs and SSOs to provide holistic support for families, which includes regular case conferences and discussions.
  • To deliver tiered child development support / intervention based on level of needs and conduct screening and assessments.
  • To fulfill all administrative duties, examples include upkeep of case notes and timely uploads onto the Social Service Net (SSNet) system.
  • To attend all relevant trainings.
  • All other duties, if required.

Candidate Profile:

  • Diploma or degree in early childhood, psychology, nursing, social work, counselling or equivalent.
  • Preferably at least 2 years of experience in early childhood development, or social service sector.
  • Adaptable to organizational changes.
  • Able to work on some weekday evenings and weekends.
