Contract Period:

Responsibilities:
The Student Discipline Support Personnel will assist in maintaining discipline and supporting student management functions at Beatty Secondary School. Key responsibilities include:
- Detention Sessions (DS) Coordination:
- Supervise detention sessions (Monday to Friday) after school till 4:30 PM.
- Implement, monitor, and ensure consistency in detention processes and follow-up procedures.
- Track defaulters and compile detention records.
- Update Form Teachers on detention attendance.
- Maintain detention as a deterrent against truancy and late-coming.
- Student Management (SM) Centre Operations:
- Manage loan and issue of items, lost-and-found, early leave requests, and assist unwell students.
- Update attendance and late-coming records in the school data management system.
- Attend to students visiting the SM Centre and liaise with teachers, Year Heads, or School Leaders when necessary.
- Case Management and Follow-Up:
- Collaborate with the Student Management Team to monitor student progress in disciplinary cases.
- Refer potential issues to HOD, Year Heads, or School Leaders based on observations and information.
- Conduct follow-ups for student offenders, including monitoring suspension or detention assignments.
- Assist with student movement monitoring, house calls, and home visits.
- Liaise with police or relevant authorities for case follow-ups as required.
- School Security and Tone Maintenance:
- Monitor and patrol the school to ensure security and discipline.
- Actively supervise student gatherings during recess and after school.
- Manage external visitors and ensure appropriate communication with relevant staff.
- Support During Examination Periods:
- Assist in patrolling to maintain a conducive environment.
- Provide escort duties and manage students in waiting areas during oral examinations.
- Event and Programme Assistance:
- Support the PE department during sports events and activities.
- Monitor at-risk students during after-school engagement programmes (GEAR UP) and term break self-study sessions.
- Data and Records Management:
- Maintain records of daily non-compliances (e.g., attire, grooming, late-coming).
- Manage student discipline records using the school data management system.
- File and compile student profiling records.
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Fridays: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (inclusive of 1-hour lunch break).
- Off-days: Saturdays, Sundays, and gazetted public holidays.
Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Full GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent work experience.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and online school data management tools.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with students.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking.
A keen learner and a good team player.
- Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in school administrative or student management roles is advantageous.
