Responsibilities:
The Automation Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing automation projects from initiation through completion. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that automation solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Automation Project Manager will also oversee the deployment of automation technologies, manage project risks, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved.
- Project Planning and Management:Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
Coordinate and manage project activities to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Stakeholder Communication:Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and senior management.
Facilitate meetings and presentations to review project status and address any concerns.
- Team Leadership:Lead and mentor project teams, including automation engineers, analysts, and other relevant personnel.
Assign tasks, set expectations, and monitor team performance.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Technical Oversight:Oversee the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions.
Ensure that automation technologies align with organizational goals and standards.
Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Risk Management:Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor project risks and implement contingency plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Budget and Resource Management:Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and ensuring cost control.
Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements.
Ensure that projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Quality Assurance:Implement quality assurance processes to ensure that automation solutions meet established standards and requirements.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
- Documentation and Reporting:Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical specifications.
Prepare and present reports on project performance, outcomes, and lessons learned.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned
Requirements:
[Must]
- Proven experience managing automation or robotics projects, preferably in warehouse or supply chain environments.
- Strong knowledge of autonomous technologies, including AGVs and robotic systems.
- Able to travel overseas when required (Asia & Middle East markets) (less than 6x a year)
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with safety and quality control protocols within industrial or warehousing environments.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in PM software and tools
