As a FUNCTIONAL ANALYST, you are expected to work in a high pace but fun, exciting and supportive environment and shall be constantly challenged to step out of your comfort zone, pioneer and try new ideas, acquire new skills and dabble in projects and pilot projects of different forms. Because of the multi-faceted role and myriad of exposures, you will have ample opportunities to try new things, attend professional courses/ workshops and work directly with end-users such as doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, etc. The boundaries to learning is only limited to the skills and potential of the individual.
Here are your primary duties:
- Participate in the requirement study, research, feasibility study, functional analysis and design phases, functional testing, user acceptance testing and end-user training of any new IT software development projects and/ or product development for the eldercare industry
- Perform technical and business impact analysis for modifications needed in existing web-based SaaS/SOA and bespoke applications to meet changing user requirements
- Involve in market-driven Software/ SaaS product development, enhancement and roadmapping
- Assist in troubleshooting software application and system issues
- Work with Product Owners, Software Architects, Developers, Project Managers and customers/ end users (e.g. doctors, nurses, clinicians, administrators, IT Manager, etc.) on change requests and enhancements to current systems
- Produce Functional Specification, User Story and Functional Test Case
- Chance to participate in consulting and proof-of-concept/pilot and other trailblazing/ meaningful projects
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma in any field
- 3 solid years of relevant working experience, preferably working as business analyst, system analyst, product analyst, functional consultant, etc
- Candidates should be versatile and independent in picking up new technology, and possess strong logical and analytical problem solving skills
- Able to do flowcharting and business process analysis
- Ability to grasp and understand business requirements
- Enjoy solving real-world problems, applying new technology and creating new software/SaaS products
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as you are expected to liaise/interface with customers/end-users (including doctors, nurses, social workers and healthcare professionals) regularly
- Good documentation skills
- Excellent professional and working attitude
- Proficient with MS Office Applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc)
- Meticulous, good organizational and documentation skills
Note: Candidates who are more experienced may be considered for Senior Functional Analyst role.
