About the team

The Solutions Architecture Team partners with our users to realize their full potential through the adoption of prescriptive solutions that drive their growth and success. We influence revenue growth across Stripe’s product portfolio, and collaborate with sales, support, product management, and Stripe’s executive team.

What you’ll do

At Stripe, managers grow teams and inspire them to do outstanding work. We are looking for a motivated thought leader to help build and scale our Southeast Asia and Greater China Solutions Architecture team. This leader must be a driver who loves building teams and businesses. This role requires great interpersonal skills to work cross functionally, as a trusted advisor to our Sales, Partner and Professional Services teams, as well as with our Product Development and Marketing teams. Your influence can have a far ranging impact. Individuals applying for this role must be entrepreneurial and self-driven with a passion for breaking into markets and creating something new they can be proud of.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute Stripe’s technical sales strategy in conjunction with Sales leaders, Marketing, Professional Services, GTM Partner team and Product Engineering.
  • Build repeatable playbooks and define execution best practices.
  • Recruit, mentor, develop and inspire SAs to do the best work of their careers.
  • Influence the mindset of CXOs, developers, architects and other technical decision makers, helping to shape their long-term architectural direction and scope roadmap for them to get to their target end-states.
  • Champion the voice of our users and customers and influence product direction and priorities.
  • Partner with Sales, Professional Services, Support Services and Product Engineering to manage the customer journey from technical discovery to technical win to successful adoption, value realization and expansion.
  • Drive thought leadership through presenting at EBCs, industry events, developing whitepapers and reference architectures.
  • Help develop and contribute to sales campaigns, sales enablement and partner development.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years technical sales leadership experience: recruiting and developing high performance teams selling technology solutions to enterprise companies, ideally in a SaaS or pay-as-you-go business.
  • 10+ years of experience in technical sales or pre-sales roles, such as Solutions Engineer, Architect, or Consultant, with a focus on architecting pre-sales solutions and establishing best practices.
  • Experience working with customers in Asia Pacific, including Greater China & Southeast Asian customers
  • Deep understanding of cloud-based solutions and the customer journey, from prospecting to revenue realization.
  • Strong technical acumen encompassing APIs, distributed systems, databases, developer tools, and enterprise systems architecture.
  • Hands-on experience working with a variety of technology stacks, from modern web applications to legacy ERP systems.
  • Strong people management skills with a passion for coaching and developing others to their highest potential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills communicating and collaborating with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels within an organization.
  • The proven ability to work collaboratively with product management, product marketing and product engineering, you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor.
  • A passion for evangelizing our capabilities and success on social media and other outlets to build brand preference and recognition.
  • A self-starter who will take the initiative to develop programs for enablement and growth.
  • A high degree of passion, energy, drive and willingness to travel 50% of the time.
  • International experience required.

Preferred requirements

  • Domain expertise in the payments space
  • Ability to speak and read in Mandarin

Hybrid work at Stripe
Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is S$364,300 - S$546,500. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.Specific benefits and details about what compensation is included in the salary range listed above will vary depending on the applicant’s location and can be discussed in more detail during the interview process. Benefits/additional compensation for this role may include: equity, company bonus or sales commissions/bonuses; retirement plans; health benefits; and wellness stipends.
