Steel Construction Project Manager - SME

Job Scope:

  • Develop project plans, timelines, and schedules for steel structural projects
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution
  • Oversee the design and engineering of steel structures, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations
  • Review and approve technical drawings and structural designs
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective execution
  • Monitor project costs and ensure work is completed within the allocated budget
  • Supervise and manage the construction site, ensuring quality control, safety, and timely delivery
  • Ensure proper implementation of health and safety regulations on site
  • Lead and manage the project team, including engineers, designers, and site workers
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members throughout the project lifecycle
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication of project status and progress
  • Prepare regular project reports, highlighting milestones, issues, and resolutions
  • Oversee procurement of materials and equipment for steel structure fabrication and construction
  • Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply chain issues
  • Implement quality control procedures to ensure that the steel structure meets all specifications and standards
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to monitor the progress and quality of work
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address them
  • Resolve any unforeseen issues or challenges during project execution
  • Conduct a final review of the project upon completion, ensuring all aspects meet client requirements
  • Prepare as-built documentation and project close-out reports

Requirements:

  • Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in structural steel work/construction
  • Experience in MRT projects is an advantage
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Willing to work at various site locations
