Job Scope:
- Design and develop mechanical systems, products, and components
- Create detailed technical drawings and specifications using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA)
- Conduct simulations and analysis (e.g., stress, thermal, fluid dynamics) to validate designs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with other systems
- Perform design modifications and improvements based on feedback and testing results
- Develop prototypes and conduct hands-on testing to ensure design feasibility and performance
- Select materials, components, and manufacturing processes for product development
- Ensure designs comply with safety, regulatory, and industry standards
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders
- Support the manufacturing team in product assembly, testing, and troubleshooting
- Manage design projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Continuously research and apply new design technologies and innovations to improve mechanical systems
Requirements:
- ITE, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum two years of experience in customized automation machine design
- Experience in semi-con, connector, or machine design preferred
- Knowledge of SolidWorks, with Pro-E and Inventor as added advantages
- Strong understanding of mechanical movement, function, and performance
- Good perception of 2D & 3D objects and machining processes
- Passion for designing high-performance machines
- Good technical communication skills in English
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
