Job Title: Class 2 Boiler Attendant

Salary Range up to SGD 4,000 with allowance


Job Summary:

The Class 2 Boiler Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation, routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of industrial boilers. The role ensures the boiler systems operate at optimal performance, complying with safety standards and regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor boiler equipment, including steam and hot water boilers.
  • Perform routine checks on boilers, pumps, water softeners, and other equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Adjust controls to regulate the boiler’s temperature, pressure, water level, and other critical parameters.
  • Conduct regular inspections of boiler systems to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions or potential hazards.
  • Perform preventive maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn parts.
  • Log operational data, incidents, and any maintenance or repairs performed on the boiler.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations, including those governing the use of boilers.
  • Assist in the testing of boiler water to ensure safe chemical balance and water quality.
  • Coordinate with other departments for scheduled maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Respond to emergency situations such as boiler failures or leaks promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Possess a valid Class 2 Boiler Attendant Certificate.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in operating and maintaining industrial boilers.
  • Good knowledge of safety protocols and mechanical systems related to boilers.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve boiler malfunctions.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
  • Physically fit, able to work in shifts, and in challenging environments.
