About our client: Our client is a leading global provider of project management services for large-scale FPSO projects.
*Contract duration: 15 months
*Travel requirement: Required to station at site overseas at one time, duration is up to 4 weeks.
About the role:
- Planning and coordination of all hull inspection and steel renewal scope to fulfill Class (ABS) requirement
- Digest and consolidate all piping and structure abnormally and ABS/BMA punch list.
- Plan and organize resources and materials to support the offshore repair campaign.
- Details the POB look ahead planning of each work by evaluating the project progress (onshore/offshore) and resources availability.
- Coordinate with the onshore Quality Control Team and supply chain for material and tools delivery.
- Follow-up and support offshore execution supervisor daily.
- Prepare RFQ to obtain the quotation from offshore service contractors, liaise with procurement to issue purchase order, and coordinate embarkation and disembarkation of offshore service contractors.
- Embark offshore regularly to ensure works carry out safely.
- Under the supervision of the Lead Planner or a direct report of this position, collate and compile the necessary information to support timely schedule development and reporting.
- Develop the project planning and progress measurement procedures according to project requirements and ensure proper implementation in the course of work.
- Understand the technical scope of the work and the right sequence and duration of activities to create a viable project plan.
- Develop and maintain logically linked, resource loading (where applicable) detailed plans using Company planning tools and best industry practices.
- Track project progress and challenge project stakeholders including subcontractors involved with planning and progress measurement activities.
- Consolidate and check the consistency of planning and progress data.
- Produce and maintain workforce histograms, progress s-curves and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) in connection with the schedule(s).
- Provide ad-hoc reports, “look-ahead”, critical path reviews, “what-if” scenarios, and other relevant tools that will assist in planning and schedule analysis.
- Assess and communicate schedule impacts of all changes envisaged as part of the management.
- Contribute and participate in the Project Risk Management process by providing planning input and identifying schedule impacts for risks’ occurrences.
- Perform schedule risk analysis using company tools and best industry practices.
- Provide guidance and support to less experienced planning staff (as required).
About you:
- Diploma/Degree in construction/ mechanical/ structural engineering
- EPC construction experience for brownfield FPSO repair projects at Shipyard
- Construction planning experience for Offshore based oil and gas projects, with specific experience in managing hull inspections and remedial scope
- High level of computer literacy in office packages: Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Primavera P6
