Job description
Job Overview: Responsible for managing and overseeing the movement of motor vehicles, ensuring all logistical, regulatory, and operational requirements are met. The role involves coordinating with suppliers, shipping agents, and regulatory bodies to ensure the timely and efficient transportation of vehicles while maintaining compliance with international trade laws and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review all required shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin) for customs clearance and transport.
- Prepare and review all necessary documents for submission to VICOM and VITAS.
- Ensure all imports and exports comply with international trade regulations, customs laws, and automotive industry standards.
- Collaborate with international suppliers, freight forwarders, customs, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions.
- Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory, shipment statuses, and deliveries to ensure stock availability.
- Ensure accuracy in all payment and billing operations.
- Maintain an organized document control system for easy retrieval and reference.
- Coordinate delivery schedules and shipping arrangements with suppliers, customers, and service providers for timely transportation.
- Communicate with relevant parties to address discrepancies, handle delays, and proactively find solutions to shipping issues.
Requirements
- Preferably at least 1 year of working experience handling import & export shipping documentation.
- Proven experience in import/export operations, ideally within the automotive industry.
- Knowledge of international trade laws, customs regulations, and logistics.
- Possess prior experience handling high volume of shipping documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in spoken and written English (knowledge in Japanese language is a plus).
- Required to work 5 days per week
