Job Title: IT System Administrator APAC
Summary:
The IT System Administrator with Cloud Experience will manage and support a hybrid IT infrastructure, focusing on both traditional on-premises systems and cloud environments. This role includes maintaining network and server infrastructure, providing global desktop support, and overseeing cloud-based services, primarily within Microsoft Azure and M365 environments. The position will be based in Singapore supporting CECO offices in China and Asia. Successful candidates will be able to display proficiency in both English and Chinese, spoken and written.
Key Responsibilities:
- Helpdesk & Desktop Support: Provide end-user support globally, with a focus on CECO Asia-Pacific offices, including PC configuration, peripheral management, and VOIP support.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Work as part of a team that administers and maintains Microsoft Azure and M365 environments, including cloud networking (e.g., Azure VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute).
- Server & Network Administration: Oversee the administration of Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, and network services such as DNS, FTP, and web servers.
- Vendor & Project Management: Collaborate with third-party vendors and consultants for system upgrades, new installations, and troubleshooting.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure adherence to IT security standards, data protection policies, and regulatory requirements across cloud and on-premises systems.
- Performance Tuning: Proactively identify and resolve system performance issues related to network availability, utilization, and latency.
- Cross-Platform Expertise: Integrate cloud services with existing infrastructure, endpoint management, and virtual desktop environments.
- Bilingual Support: Communicate effectively in both English and Chinese to provide seamless support across regions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain asset tracking, technical documentation, and respond to audit requests as required.
- Travel: May require up to 20% travel across regions for system setup and troubleshooting.
Required Skills:
- Experience managing hybrid IT environments (on-premises + cloud).
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, and Active Directory.
- Strong knowledge of cloud services (Azure, M365), PowerShell scripting, and cloud networking.
- Experience with endpoint management tools (e.g., Microsoft Endpoint Manager).
- Knowledge of network security and compliance standards.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin), with strong communication skills for support in both languages.
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to work independently in a global, fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT system administration, including cloud infrastructure management.
- Preferred Certifications: AZ-104 Azure Administrator, M365, or relevant cloud certifications.
