Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager for Retail Operations, a Retail Executive is responsible for providing customer service at the branch / retail counter, ensuring a positive experience for all customers. This role involves assisting customers with product inquiries, processing transactions, managing stock, and maintaining a clean and organized retail environment. The Retail Executive will also support promotional activities and ensure that the counter operates smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist customers with product selections, providing recommendations and answering queries.
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and issue receipts in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain the retail counter area by keeping it neat, organized, and fully stocked with products.
- Ensure product displays are attractive and aligned with promotional materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in stock replenishment as needed.
- Report any stock discrepancies, damaged goods, or customer complaints to the supervisor or manager.
- Promote company products, services, and ongoing promotions to customers.
- Assist in managing returns, exchanges, and refunds according to company policies.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, especially in relation to food handling and display.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company's products, services, and promotions to offer accurate information to customers.
- Assist in training new associates and manpower scheduling.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in retail, hospitality, or customer service is a plus.
- Proven experience in retail or customer service, preferably in a food or product-based environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash and operate a POS system.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and varying shifts as required.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time (6 Day Week), with flexible working hours.
- Working weekends necessary.
- In-store role, requiring standing for extended periods.
