Responsibilities:
- Chasing schedule/itinerary of assigned vessels and being prepared for the necessary events as such loading/bunkering/discharging/dry-docking liaising/negotiating with/against Charterers/Ship Technical Managers or all concerned parties.
- Collecting Time Charter Hire Revenue, including negotiation against any claims/disputes raised by Charterers, settlement of account payable/receivable and/or etc.
- Managing/Approving yearly/quarterly/monthly/daily budgets of assigned vessels prepared by Ship Technical Managers and monitoring their activity/financial results of vessels (and instructing/drawing up and carrying out any plans for rectifications/improvement with such managers)
- Checking if the Voyage Orders or requests given by Charterers on case-by-case basis are in conformity with Time Charter Parties and/or acceptable as Owners in any points of view, including negotiation against Charterers
- Liaising with underwriters in Japanese Hull & Machinery and/or Protection and Indemnity insurance in case of material accidents and arranging any additional premiums (not limited to but including reporting any incidents to Charterers or all concerned parties, drawing up plans for escaping from them, legal proceedings, settlement/collecting insurance premiums and/or preparing press conferences in case of a serious accident)
- Visiting vessels to check their condition and maintenance status as Owners for the commercial purposes.
- Reporting punctually to the HQ in Tokyo and/or the partners in Joint-Venture vehicles.
- Developing new business with potential customers / expanding with existing ones through world-wide marketing for building/owning vessels or any other investment projects
- Calculating overall budget for new projects/scheme (New built vessels, Second-hand vessels, or any other structured business and analysis/evaluation for them and managing outturn/progress on the existing projects.
- Analysing shipping market and planning in investment/sales of vessels.
- Negotiating/discussing extension of existing Time Charter contracts against Charterers
- Concluding the relevant contracts such as Ship Building Contracts, Time Charter Parties, Ship Sales Agreements (a.k.a. “Memorandum of Agreement”), Bareboat Charter Parties, Ship Management Agreements (Agency Agreements), etc.
- General managing in Entities’ profit and loss/balance sheet/cash flows in a manner set up
- Any others, ad-hoc basis.
Requirements:

- Experience in shipping Industry for 3 years. (Time Charter Party / Voyage Charter Party / Bill of Lading)
- Experience in Commodity Trading for 5 years.
- Accounting (Basic Accounting in Double-Entry System)
- Finance (Basic Loan Agreements/Derivatives/others)
- Possess Good leadership, Communication, Sense of teamwork, Perseverance
- Proficiency in Japanese to communicate with Japanese speaking internal parties
