Morgan McKinley is looking for a skilled Application Lead Developer for a 12-months contract with our client in the tech industry.
Responsibilities:
- Application Development and Architecture: Design and implement application and technical architecture components, focusing on high performance, scalability, and responsiveness.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including specifications, design, and testing materials.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features while ensuring technical compatibility and user satisfaction.
- Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve bottlenecks, bugs, and performance issues to ensure optimal application quality and responsiveness.
- Code Quality and Automation: Maintain high code quality through organization, automation, unit testing, and adherence to best practices.
- Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to inform development practices and architectural reviews.
- Release Management: Assist with the preparation and production of software releases, including configuration, building, and testing of application components.
- Team Leadership: Lead a small team of developers, providing mentorship, guidance, and support in coding, testing, and code reviews.
- Testing and Support: Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and address issues identified during testing phases.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and end-users to refine requirements and ensure satisfaction.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with company standards, security protocols, and development methodologies.
- Continuous Improvement: Investigate new technologies and alternatives, presenting recommendations for architectural improvements.
Qualifications:
- With minimum 5 years of relevant software development and programming experience.
- Must have Experience with AS400 Technologies.
- Must have the following technical skills:
- Proficiency in AS400 RPG and COBOL.
- In-depth knowledge of Remittance Applications.
- Strong expertise in ALBON, SQL, and DB2.
- Experience with AS400 Technologies.
- Familiarity with SWIFT and Local RTGS Applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex issues into manageable parts.
