Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Application Support and Operations Specialist to take ownership of multiple application products and their operational aspects, including patching, application support, and more. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, operational mindset, and experience in maintaining IT systems, with a focus on security, troubleshooting, and government-level standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Ownership:
· Manage the operational aspects of applications such as WebSphere, IBM MQ, QlikSense, SharePoint, Pega, etc.
· Collaborate with build teams during application architecture sessions to provide inputs on integration points (e.g., Web services, MQ, SFTP interfaces).
Operational Processes:
· Define and implement operational processes for application and system management.
· Perform OS and application-level patching.
· Handle operational housekeeping, archival, backup, and recovery.
· Troubleshoot application or infrastructure-related issues.
IT Security Compliance:
· Ensure compliance with government-level security requirements, including system hardening, scanning, and maintaining a strong security posture.
Support and Monitoring:
· Provide on-site support when issues occur, including after office hours as required.
· Monitor and maintain IT systems and application assets for the project.
