Element has an opportunity for Lab Engineer for Singapore. In this role, you will be involved in project plan, coordination, operation for soil investigation works. Attend the project meeting if required. Day-to-day site operation to ensure works are constructed as per project & safety requirement. Identify the soil/rock & record the field log. Take the soil sample for lab test. Supervise site works. Liaise with clients on site works / projects. Plan and arrange the Logistics
This role is based in Sungei Kadut Loop, Singapore.
Job Duties:
- Schedule the testing programmes according to priority
- Execute the soil testing works to determine the physical and mechanical of the soil samples: Supervise the technicians to prepare the correct samples for soil testing (e.g., check the assignment and UD soil samples)
- Carry out extrusion of the soil samples
- Liaise with clients for samples that are unable to meet their requirements for their decision-making
- Carry out the soil tests according to BS standards or standards specified by clien and submit the approved soil testing reports to clients
Job Requirements:
- Degree in civil engineering or geology, certificate in Site Investigation for Supervisors (BCA) is an advantage with 2 years’ relevant experience in major infrastructure projects
- SEC(K) Higher skill will be an advantage
- Physically fit and able to withstand the challenging working conditions
- Strong and determined quality focus with indefatigable determination to get the job done under the most challenging conditions and meet tight deadlines with minimum supervision
- Self-motivated team player with excellent organisational and communication skills
