Job Description - Business Analyst
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of business processes. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements, as well as facilitating effective communication between business stakeholders and technical teams. This position requires a blend of business acumen, technical proficiency, and problem-solving abilities to drive successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical and information support on applications to customers via email, messaging, telephone, and on-site when necessary.
- Perform basic troubleshooting, including writing fundamental SQL scripts, on reported issues.
- Escalate technical issues to relevant parties and follow through diligently until resolution.
- Monitor ongoing batch jobs to ensure successful execution without failure.
- Provide monthly reports.
- Perform SIT Testing, UAT Testing of Service Requests and reported defects.
- Ensure timely delivery of development work with quality, meeting internal and external customer expectations.
- Update relevant documents on all executed changes in a timely manner.
- Oversee, update, and follow up on the defect tracking list until all issues are resolved.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project targets and quality objectives.
- Interact effectively with customers from different departments.
- Conduct business process analysis and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including requirements, specifications, and user manuals.
- Assist in implementing IT solutions to meet business needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum GCE O/N Level, ITE, or Diploma in a related discipline.
- Preferably with 3 years of IT-related experience.
- Experience using SQL query tools is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Positive attitude towards meeting new challenges.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
