For NAFA to stand at the forefront of arts education and practice, the Special Projects Unit (SPU) supports the community in regularly undertaking special projects to develop our people and connect us to the global arts and design community.
In this crucial role, you will support in nurturing creative talent and supporting transformative initiatives, in order to connect our community to a network of global arts institutions as well as to allow our Academy’s talents to be exposed to a myriad of opportunities in the arts and design sectors.
Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role to manage the Talent Accelerator Programmes (TAP), you will take on the vital responsibility of managing a diverse range of talent accelerator initiatives. These include flagship programmes such as the NAFA Studios @ Cité internationale des arts Residency Programme, the NAFA Mentorship Programme, and the Special Projects Award. These programmes are instrumental in providing unique opportunities for growth, creativity, and professional excellence, and your role will be central to their success.
Your responsibilities will involve overseeing the administrative aspects of these initiatives, ensuring that all processes run smoothly and are executed to the highest standard. You will act as a key liaison, working closely with internal stakeholders, such as faculty and management, as well as external partners, including industry collaborators and mentors, to ensure the successful delivery of each project. Additionally, you will maintain meticulous documentation and records, ensuring that every aspect of the TAP portfolio is well-organized and efficiently managed. By facilitating effective communication and coordination among stakeholders, you will help create an enriching and impactful experience for all participants involved in these programmes.
As a key contributor to the Special Projects Unit (SPU), you will work closely with the Head (SPU) to design, develop, and implement impactful talent development programmes and initiatives. You will provide essential administrative and logistical support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Additionally, you will manage projects from start to finish, coordinating tasks and timelines effectively to deliver successful outcomes. This role also involves assisting in the development and refinement of SPU policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and related documentation. You will be expected to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Head (SPU) and Head (PPO) to support broader objectives.
Requirements
- You should minimally possess a Diploma or Degree in a related discipline, along with relevant professional experience.
- For Diploma holders, a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required for the Executive Officer (EO) level, and 8 years of relevant experience for the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) level.
- For Degree holders, fresh graduates are welcome to apply for the Executive Officer (EO) level, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) level.
- A positive and enthusiastic approach is essential, alongside resourcefulness and a proactive mindset to drive results. Strong proficiency in both written and spoken English is critical for effective communication.
- Additionally, the ability to be highly organized and detail-oriented are essential, with excellent planning and time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- The incumbent should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills will help you connect with people across all levels. A genuine passion for working with people of all ages, along with an interest in the arts, will be highly advantageous in this role.
