We're hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer for a short-term role to develop a software that employs artificial intelligence to manage ship and crew risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop new software or enhance existing platforms to connect with multiple devices (e.g., smartwatches and tablets) and databases (e.g., AIS and weather data).
- Design and implement systems to monitor and control ship risks and enhance seafarer wellbeing.
Job Requirements:
- Education Qualification: Degree in Software Development and Engineering or equivalent
- Key Computing Skills:
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript (preferably TypeScript).
Experience with Node.js.
Competence in React.
Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB).
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, CouchDB, or Redis). - Interpersonal skill
Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines
Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills - Strong written and oral communication abilities
- Familiarity with the maritime industry is an advantage
