Responsibilities:
Project Oversight
- Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of building/critical facilities power management construction projects.
- Manage project planning, cost control, scheduling, and documentation.
- Ensure all projects meet safety compliance, are delivered within budget, and are signed off by clients.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain strong relationships and address project requirements.
- Resolve operational and technical project issues promptly to prevent disruptions.
Resource and Cost Management
- Monitor and improve the operational systems, processes, and infrastructure to ensure smooth functioning and efficiency across all areas of the organization.
- Ensure that building/facilities management operations run efficiently, meeting both the immediate and long-term goals.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that align with the organization's business goals.
- Create and execute plans for managing day-to-day operations, including resource allocation, staffing, logistics, and workflow processes, ensuring optimal utilization to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
Safety and Compliance
- Maintain a safe and clean worksite environment, complying with ISO and OSHA standards.
- Prioritize workplace safety and cleanliness, handling emergencies and incidents effectively.
- Address operational issues, including facility management problems, supply chain disruptions, or technical challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to the business.
- Respond to crises (e.g., system failures, accidents) promptly and develop contingency plans to prevent recurrence.
Operational Excellence
- Develop strategies and metrics to ensure team performance aligns with company standards.
- Manage logistics to ensure accurate delivery and accountability of materials.
- Track project developments through detailed documentation of processes and milestones.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, integrating them into operations.
- Develop and manage operational budgets for multiple projects and departments, ensuring that cost control measures are in place.
- Continuously assess costs, identify potential savings, and maintain financial discipline while meeting the project requirements.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to cross-functional teams, ensuring that employees are motivated, trained, and supported in their roles.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration across departments.
- Regularly report on operational performance to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary Degree in a Construction/Building/Project Management/Electrical or Mechanical Engineering related field with at least 10 years of working experiences in the Construction projects.
- Good knowledge in Electrical (LV & HV) & Mechanical, knowledge in building/ critical facilities Power management, uninterruptible power supplies or standby generators are essential.
- A strong background in electrical equipment & power solutions sales in data centres will be highly preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of power protection technologies (e.g., DRUPS, UPS, diesel generators, modular power infrastructure solution).
- Capable of managing & coordinating sub-contractors/ suppliers/ vendors both on & off site to meet project deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership and people management skills.
- Sound knowledge of Project Management procedures.
- Ability to travel across the region (when required).
