Job Description
- Lead, oversee, and plan the development of autonomous vehicle learning platforms.
- Identify and develop autonomous vehicle hardware and software stacks.
- Actively drive projects to improve existing platform features and add new features to complement and expand the capabilities of the system.
- Engage and mentor Master’s and Undergraduate students as well as industry attachment interns.
- Collaborate with other research engineers and coordinate various activities at the Advanced Robotics Centre.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering related to robotics field.
- Familiar with vehicle structures, electronics, vehicle kinematics and dynamics.
- Experience with autonomous vehicles Drive-by-Wire (DBW) systems and control.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM and fast prototyping.
- Familiar with open-source autonomous driving frameworks such as Apollo, Autoware, etc.
- Proficiency in robotics middleware and simulation tools (ROS, Gazebo, Carla, SUMO, Carsim (preferred)).
- Experience in C/C++ and Python development.
- Experience in autonomous vehicles and robotics full-stack development is preferred.
- Experience in remote control system development is preferred.
- Highly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous organizer with a positive and can-do attitude.
- Strong team player with the ability to lead projects.
- Good communication, writing and presentation skills.
