JOB SUMMARY
- We are seeking a passionate and innovative developer to join our team, focusing on projects supporting financial reporting, calculating reserves and produce independent valuations. This role is ideal for a candidate with a strong experience in building products with a keen interest in working within the financial domain.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with the business teams to understand their requirements.
- Design and implement solutions to automate and optimize financial reporting
- Design and implement solutions to calculate adjustments and reserves
- Design and implement solutions to calculate independent valuations
- Document the related IT policies and procedures.
- Undertake continuous improvement of the current systems and infrastructure.

- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
- Lead the Valuation Methodology Team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles
- Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 4+ years experience in python, (django, flask)
- Bachelor of Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- Business Communication
Role Specific Technical Competencies

- Development Tools (IDE, GIT)
- Databases / SQL
- Functional programming (Haskell, Scala etc)
