Summary of Job Description: Systems and Cloud Engineer
Role Overview:
Our client is looking for a suitable candidate to join their team as Systems and Cloud Engineer, reporting to the Hosting and Storage Management Tower, collaborates with Managed Services Partners, IT teams, and business stakeholders to design, build, and support on-premises, hybrid, and cloud-based (Azure and AWS) infrastructure solutions. This role ensures service delivery, support, and alignment with business needs while serving as a trusted advisor in IT transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer IT infrastructure solutions for on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments (Azure and AWS).
- Act as a subject matter expert for infrastructure and end-user technologies.
- Provide Level 3 support for IT Shared Services and Cloud operations.
- Manage and resolve system incidents through root cause analysis and problem management.
- Implement changes following established processes and develop/maintain infrastructure standards.
- Support service delivery and meet service level agreements for business and IT stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree; 5-7 years' experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), VMware, Microsoft, and Linux.
- Technical Skills:Expertise in Azure, AWS, VMware, Active Directory, and Windows OS.
Knowledge of system tools like SCCM, SCOM, Dyna Trace, and SolarWinds.
Strong storage virtualization and network technology understanding.
Certifications in Cloud, VMware, and Microsoft technologies.
- Soft Skills:Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proactive, collaborative team player with stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence and align teams toward shared goals.
Additional: Experience in health/security IT operations is advantageous. Minimal travel (<5%), with on-call responsibilities for operational escalations.
