This role involves:
Day to day, you will be working in project teams or independently, supervised by experienced managers. You will also supervise and provide guidance to junior colleagues on their day-to-day tasks. You will perform a variety of tasks, including computer forensic imaging, investigating digital artifacts, analyzing log files, preparing analysis summaries, writing reports and communicating with clients.
What you will do?
- Oversee projects from start to finish, ensure that the firm's quality and risk guidelines are met and are completed on time and within budget.
- Investigate digital crime, including business email compromise, data theft and cryptocurrency tracing.
- Understanding IT environments to identify sources of digital evidence.
- Collaborate with internal and external clients to understand their needs, preserve and collect relevant data, and provide insights.
- Forensic imaging of storage media from computers, servers, mobile devices as well as data stored on cloud.
- Host forensic analysis of file systems for Windows and Macintosh.
- Mobile analysis for Android and iOS.
- Identify, collect, preserve, process and manage digital evidence for electronic discovery engagements.
- Conducting interviews.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support forensic investigation and findings
- Present findings to clients and colleagues.
- Provide digital forensic trainings to internal and external clients.
- Lead research and development initiatives for the latest forms of digital evidence and forensic tools and procedures.
Requirements:
Technical skills
- Over 5 years of strong experience in using forensic software to identify, collect, preserve and analyse electronic data from laptops, desktops, servers, cloud, backup tapes and mobile devices.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in evidence handling, chain-of-custody, acquisition techniques, and forensic lab practices.
- Extensive understanding of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and electronic discovery practices.
- Experience with electronic discovery platforms such as Relativity and Nuix.
- Proficiency in coding (preferably in popular languages) and knowledge of database management and SQL. This will help you to automate routine tasks.
- Deep understanding of Microsoft Windows, Macintosh, and other operating systems, with the ability to translate digital evidence artifacts into investigative outcomes.
- Certifications in cloud technologies, computer forensics, and/or electronic discovery are advantageous.

- Presentation skills. You should be comfortable presenting your findings to your colleagues and clients in an interactive manner. KPMG will provide learning opportunities to improve on your presentation skills.
