Senior ABA Therapist - Early Years

The Early Intervention Centre is seeking a highly motivated, experienced ABA Therapist, with excellent analytical and communication skills to join our learning support team. Start a rewarding career helping toddlers and preschoolers who have been diagnosed with autism or other developmental delays. As a centre-based Therapist, you combine therapeutic and teaching methods to address a variety of learning needs, including reading and writing challenges, autism, dyslexia, attention-deficit disorder, inappropriate behaviour, social skills deficits, and many other areas that can affect a student's academic performance.


Experience

Experience working with children with developmental and/ or learning difficulties.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Team-oriented
  • Outstanding knowledge of Behavioural strategies
  • Extensive experience working with children with developmental delays and behavioural challenges
  • At least a Degree in Applied Behavioural Analysis, Educational Psychology or Special Education
  • Early Denver Start Model Training / RBT Certification is a plus
  • Completed coursework towards a BCaBA/BCBA is a plus
  • At least 3 years of related working experiences
  • Have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as a positive team member

As a Senior ABA Therapist, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Teach in a one-on-one, dyad and group setting.
  • Provides specific differentiated intervention method, modify instruction and make adaptations to meet the diverse needs of young children.
  • Design and incorporate various support materials to facilitate programmes and to support learning and assessments.
  • Be familiar with positive reinforcement and behavioural management strategies.

All applicants must have a love of young children, excellent speaking, and communication skills, and a commitment to teaching young children with special needs.
