We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Manager with an in-depth understanding of marine construction processes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including contract law and legal principles. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in reviewing, negotiating, drafting, and managing contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies, legal standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for marine construction projects, ensuring terms and conditions align with company objectives and industry standards.
- Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with contractual terms and obligations.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project goals are achieved within contractual frameworks.
- Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and enforcement.
- Monitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring alignment with contract terms.
- Conduct periodic evaluations of contract performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Liaise with legal teams to address disputes, claims, and contract-related conflicts.
- Draft correspondence for claims such as extensions of time or variation orders.
- Maintain detailed records of all contracts and associated activities.
- Prepare regular reports on contract status, risks, and compliance issues for senior management.
