Key Responsibilities:
Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA):
- Conduct traffic studies and analyses to evaluate the impact of new developments on transportation systems.
- Prepare comprehensive TIA reports in compliance with Singapore’s regulatory requirements.
Transport Planning and Design:
- Develop and recommend transportation solutions, including road network improvements, traffic flow optimizations, and public transport accessibility.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on the design of roadways, intersections, and transport infrastructure.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Liaise with clients, government agencies (e.g., LTA), and other stakeholders to address transport-related concerns.
- Present findings and proposals in meetings and public consultations.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Gather traffic data through field studies, surveys, and simulation tools.
- Use software such as SIDRA, VISSIM, VISUM, VISWALK, AutoCAD for modeling and analysis.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure transport plans adhere to local laws, guidelines, and best practices set by the Land Transport Authority (LTA) and other agencies.
- Assist in preparing applications for permits and approvals.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Transport Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in traffic impact assessments or transport planning projects.
- Familiarity with transport policies and infrastructure standards.
- Proficient in traffic modeling and analysis software (e.g., SIDRA, VISSIM, VISUM, VISWALK, AutoCAD).
- Strong analytical, report-writing, and presentation skills.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
