Purpose of the Job
Reporting to Finance Manager to support the finance department in carrying out the responsibilities of the accounting department.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform financial accounting for a full set of accounts; monthly/quarterly/year-end closing
- Main PIC to work closely with Shared Service Centers (SSC) on posting/reviewing of daily/month-end closing journal entries
- Prepare external audit deliverables and support Group reporting requirements on a monthly/quarterly basis
- Perform monthly variance analysis on B/S & P/L
- Prepare and review intercompany cost allocation and recharges/billings
- Work closely with Business PICs to ensure that accruals are accurately recorded in the books
- Support in the training of new joiners on Finance policies
- Prepare presentation materials periodically for the management (Financial / Managerial accounting matters)
- Work with internal or regional teams for continuous improvement of processes
- Support key regional projects including new / changes in accounting standards, financial systems
- Continuously improve and optimize our financial workflows and conventions and use existing technology tools and applications to increase efficiency and automation
Subordinate activities
Assistant Manager
- Support Finance Manager in guiding a team of Finance Executives on day-to-day Finance operations
- Main PI to lead SSC on daily/monthly closing matters
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent
- More than 5 years of experience with a mix of Big 4 accounting firm and commercial experience
- CPA/CA or equivalent preferred
- Experience in SAP is required
- Possesses an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company procedures.
- Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Strong business sense with good financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills, experience with building financial / budgeting models
