Responsibilities
- Foster and enhance the capabilities and performance of the HR Business Partners and HR Generalists team.
- Cultivate relationships as a trusted HR advisor with senior leaders and managers in the designated Colleges/Schools/Centres, ensuring strong professional credibility.
- Gain in-depth understanding of the business needs within the assigned Colleges/Schools/Centres, align the business goals with HR initiatives, and ensure HR programs are tailored to meet those needs.
- Work collaboratively with the Dean, School Chairs, Centre Directors, HR Business Partners at the College/School level, HR Centre of Excellence, and NTU Shared Services – HR (NSS-HR) to create and implement HR solutions that address business requirements.
- Provide expert guidance on interpreting HR policies, employment legislation, performance management, recruitment, and reward strategies.
- Educate People Managers and employees about policy/system changes and their implications, while gathering feedback and insights.
- Lead the planning and execution of HR programs and ongoing improvement initiatives for the three job family groups – Faculty, Researchers, and Administrative staff in the assigned Colleges.
- Oversee the Annual Performance Management cycle and facilitate the University's central performance review meetings for the Leadership Team and stakeholders of the Colleges/Schools/Centres.
- Offer expert counsel and support for employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance concerns.
- Lead and manage assigned projects and programs.
Requirements
- Minimum 12 years of relevant HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, assess current situations, forecast future needs, and propose proactive solutions.
- Sound knowledge of local employment law and HR practices, with an awareness of emerging HR trends.
- Collaborative, adaptable, and resourceful in problem-solving.
- Comfortable working within a matrix structure and in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Highly resourceful with a strong drive to implement change.
