Overview

Reporting to the Director, Centre for Functional Movement & Enabling Technologies, this role will be to provide research, technical and administrative support to the investigators.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct clinical trials, design experiments, collect and analyze data from projects / research studies
  • Assist in 3D printing service to meet research and clinical needs, including working with clinicians and allied health professionals to innovate and provide clinical applications and solutions
  • Assist in data analysis of MRI, EEG, EMG, and motion analysis data
  • Source for, design, or modify mechanical parts for experiments
  • Write and publish research papers in journals and conferences
  • Present research findings at international workshops, conferences and internal project meetings
  • Assist in writing grant proposals for funding
  • Liaise with other team members, collaborators of projects and external vendors to realize the overall goal of the project
  • Coordinate the submission of new IRB applications, study amendments and annual reports.
  • Maintain the highest standard of professional conduct and record keeping in accordance with hospital policies, ethics requirements and local regulations.
  • Assist with any other duties that are delegated by the PI.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in engineering or a related field
  • Relevant previous experiences include 3D printing, rehabilitation engineering, neurophysiological signal processing and/or motion analysis
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Leadership and accountability to tasks is very desirable.
  • Strong analytical, technical and problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently and also collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
  • Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus to meet research deliverables and targets.
  • Willing to travel between the Hospitals and external study sites as part of his / her work.
