Role:
- Assist in preparing and reviewing technical reports and maintenance records.
- Support the Fleet Manager in organizing and monitoring maintenance schedules and repair activities.
- Track and address technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and proper documentation.
- Update and maintain technical documentation, including manuals, compliance certificates, and safety records.
- Ensure vessel operations adhere to maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Assist in preparing documentation for inspections, audits, and regulatory evaluations.
- Serve as a point of contact between ship management, crew, and shore-based technical teams.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for procuring parts and services, when required.
- Arrange and participate in technical meetings, providing necessary support.
- Assist in analyzing technical data to identify trends and suggest improvements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of technical procedures and best practices.
- Provide support during emergencies, such as technical failures or incidents, aiding in troubleshooting and resolution.
Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in ship management, marine engineering, or a related technical field is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of shipboard systems and technical operations.
- Competence in handling technical documentation and managing data.
- Strong communication and coordination abilities.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks under pressure.
- Relevant maritime certifications or qualifications are desirable.
