Salary: S$2,300 to S$2,500, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
Overtime pay will be provided for additional hours worked.
Work schedule: 5-day work week with standby and overtime requirements.
Position Overview
We are looking for a skilled Electrical Technician to join our team. This role involves installing network equipment and DC power terminations in data center environments, as well as associated infrastructure such as fiber optics and cable management systems. The ideal candidate will have expertise in power systems, network installations, and excellent coordination skills to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure network equipment, including fiber optic devices, servers, and network switches.
- Perform DC power terminations from Power Distribution Boards (PDB) to equipment racks in data centers.
- Power cable installation and termination
- Fiber optic and ethernet cable laying, termination, patching, and testing
- Construct and install cable management systems such as trunking and trays for power and fiber optic cables.
- Accurately label and document all cable installations.
- Coordinate with customers on project schedules and installation requirements.
- Maintain precise records of installations and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
- Certification in height safety or working at heights.
- Relevant technical certifications in electrical or network systems.
- Hands-on experience with DC power systems and distribution.
- Proven expertise in network infrastructure installations.
- Strong knowledge of fiber optic and ethernet cabling systems.
- Proficiency in cable termination and testing.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Competence in using documentation and labeling software.
- Keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
