This role sits in the Digital Marketing team and would be reporting to the Data Lead of SEAO region. This role is crucial, in developing data solutions and insights using 1st party consumer data pipeline for eights markets across Southeast Asia & Pacific region, building BI solutions and AI/ML models, in order to drive continuous improvement in business KPIs for Samsung smartphone and consumer electronics categories.


Marketing Insights & Reporting (60%)

  • Build dashboards and insight report on Samsung’s Big Data Platform
  • Connect different data sources to generate actionable business insights for the marketing team
  • Collaborate closely with subsidiary marketing managers and product team to support data analysis needs and proactively provide optimization suggestions

Data Science Modeling (40%)

  • Build and improve machine learning models in the field of digital marketing, such as customer purchase propensity, customer retention & loyalty
  • Maintain end-to-end machine learning pipeline to deployment data science model in the cloud environment
  • Fast prototype of new data science projects using latest AI technologies
  • Working with digital marketing deployment team to guide on marketing campaigns execution using data science solutions and rigorously measure business impact of data science projects, through A/B testing and other statistical methods.


Skills Required

  • Strong programming skills: Advanced SQL, Python, Command Line
  • Hands-on experience on large consumer data: demonstrated past work experience dealing with customer data at scale (in millions rows)
  • Cloud technology experience: demonstrated working knowledge in any of the mainstream cloud solution: Google Cloud, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure. Google Cloud experience is preferred. Able to debug and trouble shoot cloud issues independently.
  • Business Intelligence Platform experience: demonstrated working experience in any of the mainstream BI platforms: Looker, Power BI, Tableau.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including internal tech, marketing and product teams, external advertising/marketing agencies, to ensure timely delivery of data projects.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 3-5 years of working experience in data analytics or data science, preferably in a consumer facing companies.
  • Strong mathematical acumen, heightened data sensitivity, and the capacity to independently analyse and solve problems.
  • Good logical thinking and teamwork spirit, strong willingness to learn
  • Experience in Marketing, CRM, Consumer products is a plus
