RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for conducting research on design large language model powered agent framework and develop proactive conversational systems. Successful candidate will be part of an active research team led by Assistant Prof DENG Yang from School of Computing and Information Systems, Singapore Management University.
Candidate's core responsibilities are:
- Conduct routine research and development for the project under the supervision of PI/Co-PI
- Implement data gathering methods, collect research data, and data pre-processing
- Design and implement core and baseline machine learning/NLP methods/approaches for the project
- Conduct experimental evaluation of the designed methods and algorithms
- Participate in drafting technical reports and research papers
- Attend regular meeting and discussions
- Administrate and maintain the hardware/software environment such as development platforms, software packages and toolkits
- Minimum Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or closely related disciplines from a reputable institution of higher learning
- Minimum 2 years of relevant research experience in NLP
- A record of publications at recognized international venues
- Excellent skills in programming
- Experience with machine learning and deep learning methods and toolkits
- Experience with programming in Python
- Demonstrated experience on natural language processing, machine learning, and/or large language models
- Excellent analytical, technical and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively with team members
