Clinical Duties
• To provide effective Physiotherapy assessment and treatment for clients in the different care settings
• To establish rehabilitation needs, potential, and therapy goals to optimize clients’ function
• To provide clients and caregivers with education and training in self-management, with the emphasis on the importance of client-centered care and effective communication
• To lead and/or participate actively in Client Review meetings with other team members
• To recommend discharge and continuity of care plans that address clients’ physical health, psychological, social and emotional aspect in consultation with relevant stakeholders
• To facilitate community integration through collaboration with community partners when required
Education and Training
• To keep abreast with advances in the profession and to contribute to the development of the department
• To lead or/and participate in research and quality improvement projects
• To provide training and mentorship to therapists, support staffs, students by having regular communication and case discussion
• To plan and deliver training to volunteers
• To conduct regular review on therapist’s clinical competency and provide constructive feedback
* Supervision and Team Development
• To mentor therapists and support staffs on-going professional development and opportunities for courses, workshops, seminars that enhance their knowledge and skills
• Conduct staff appraisals and staff development plan
• Manage minor staff conflicts or disciplinary issues
* Administration and Operation
• To cover the duties of other Physiotherapist in the Allied Health team within the organization
• To provide statistics and reports (e.g workload, manpower, incidents, budgeting) to Head/Lead/team in-charge
• Manages feedback from various stakeholders
• To oversee inventory management processes and coordinate rosters of AH team
• To conduct clinical and compliance audits for upholding of care standards and practices
• Assist in the implementation and promotion of new clinical services
• Monitor individual and/or team’s clinical and non-clinical key performance indicators
• To perform appraisal of care staff and/or therapists
• To participate in recruitment processes of care staff and/or therapists
