Our client, a leading global consulting firm partnering with a large private and retail banking institution, is seeking an AML/KYC Operations Specialist for a 12-month project. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of AML/KYC operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring customer accounts marked for exit are properly closed, managing hold mails, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
The Role
- Ensure the proper closure of accounts for customers identified for exit based on past review decisions.
- Validate that account exits are carried out only when legally permissible, particularly for accounts with sticky products such as mortgage loans and investment products.
- Monitor and track the closure of customer accounts, ensuring timely execution, with a specific focus on those with sticky products like mortgages and investments.
- Perform a one-time review of customers with hold mails to confirm that the correct codes have been applied for the appropriate reasons.
- Evaluate the possibility of removing or updating hold mails where applicable.
- Address any missing or invalid customer data fields, ensuring all required information is complete and accurate.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in AML/KYC operational roles.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in completing tasks accurately and within deadlines
- Able to handle high workloads under pressure while maintaining quality.
- Flexible and willing to assist with additional duties as needed.
