The Company
Our client, a global consulting firm, is partnering with a large private and retail banking institution on a 12-month project and is seeking a Suspicious Transaction Reports Review Analyst. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in financial services, specifically in Anti-Money Laundering or Compliance within private or retail banking. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting risk-based reviews and performing due diligence efforts related to STR.
The Role
- Conduct risk-based reviews on selected profiles from previous STR assessments to ensure continued compliance with AML regulations.
- Evaluate whether customer relationships should be maintained by reviewing past Source of Wealth adverse news, transaction red flags, and other relevant factors.
- Collaborate with other business units to exchange and obtain necessary information to support due diligence efforts.
- Assess customer AML/CFT risks and recommend actions to mitigate any identified risks.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Your Profile
- A bachelor’s degree with 3 to 5 years (Associate) or more than 5 years (Senior) of experience in AML/KYC, preferably in Customer Due Diligence within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT regulations and experience in conducting STR reviews.
- Ability to assess customer risk based on historical information, adverse news, and transaction patterns.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Professional and constructive when addressing past decisions or the quality of work.
- Ability to manage high volumes of work under pressure.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with stakeholders across multiple business units.
