Job Description:
- Oversee international trade transactions, ensuring compliance with trade agreements, regulations, and company policies.
- Manage trade documentation (invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, letters of credit), ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate logistics and shipping, collaborating with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers for timely, cost-effective transportation.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to currency fluctuations, geopolitical issues, and transportation.
- Manage letters of credit, ensuring timely settlement of transactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and stakeholders involved in trade operations.
- Stay updated on international trade regulations, sanctions, and compliance requirements, ensuring all activities follow relevant laws.
- Negotiate and determine Incoterms for each transaction, clearly defining delivery terms and responsibilities.
- Oversee quality control to ensure goods meet required standards and customer specifications.
- Facilitate communication between internal teams and external trade partners.
- Resolve issues or discrepancies that arise, including disputes, delays, or quality concerns.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Certifications in international trade or logistics are a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in trade operations, international logistics, or related fields. Experience with trade finance instruments is a plus.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, documentation, logistics, and risk management.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in handling trade documentation and ensuring compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Ability to adapt to changing market conditions, regulations, and business needs.
- Proficiency in technology related to trade operations.
