The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) is seeking to hire a Research Fellow to support the research for Autonomous Navigation Algorithm for eVTOL Development under the eVTOL Research and Innovation Centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be leading the development of autonomous navigation algorithm for eVTOL aircrafts.
- The work will involve sensor fusion, development of perception, computer vision, machine learning methods and path planning for eVTOL, test rig set-up, and experimental validation.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must at least have a Ph.D. Degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering, Aerospace, Engineering, Control Engineering, Automation, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, AI, etc.
- Strong background in autonomy and control, and automation.
- Candidates having relevant research or working experience in unmanned aerial vehicle systems will be preferred.
- Good communications skills and the ability to work independently and facilitate projects with minimal supervision.
- Able to contribute to Journal/Conference papers with good presentation
