Job Summary
We are seeking a Finance & Accounting Manager to lead a small team in managing financial processes. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in budgeting, forecasting, and compliance. This role involves collaboration with external auditors and tax consultants, as well as overseeing financial operations and accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of two to oversee financial processes, including weekly payments, collections, and month-end/year-end closings.
- Review reconciliation schedules, journal entries, invoices, payment listings, cashflow analyses, and GST/VAT reporting.
- Spearhead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial procedures.
- Liaise with external auditors, corporate secretaries, bankers, and tax consultants as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhancements in internal controls and data automation.
- Assist with new processes and system implementations as required.
- Support HR and other teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Serve as the point of contact for finance and accounting inquiries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- At least 5 years’ relevant experience, including 2 years in a managerial role.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, reporting standards, and GST/VAT regulations.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proven ability to manage external stakeholders (auditors, bankers, tax consultants).
